Vernita B. Harris, M.B.A., CMP,

This proud native Houstonian has a long list of successful and innovative projects to her credit. Despite being President of a growing company, Vernita is extremely active in the business community and recently was awarded a second Executive Business Scholarship from Houston Minority Supplier Development Council which allowed her to attend Tuck’s Executive Education at Dartmouth. ISC won the Emerging -10 Award in November 2010 from the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council.
She sits on the Board of Directors for the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce where she won an Outstanding Board Member Award in October 2010. In February 2010, she was named Chair of MWBE Access Program for NCAA Final Four, Houston April 2011. She won the John Vega Award from HMSDC in May 2010 for commitment to the Sports Classic of HMSDC. She serves on the Board of Directors – Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau in August 2010. Also elected to serve as an Advisory Board Member to the Houston Chapter of the National Black M.B.A. Association, January 2011 and Comercio Board of Directors in March 2011.
Vernita ascertained a BA in Marketing and a M.B.A in Management from Prairie View A & M University. March 2009, she earned a CMP (Certified Meeting Professional). She celebrated 30 years of active membership at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in January 2010.
