Courtney Johnson Rose is a native Houstonian that entered the real estate business in the year 2000 and became a broker in 2002. When she was 28 years old, Courtney Johnson Rose was selected by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the REALTOR® Magazine as one of their "30 under 30" for 2007. This award features top Realtors across the United States who have maintained the status of being on top in the real estate industry before hitting their prime. She was also awarded “Realtist of the Year” in 2007 by the Houston Real Estate Association and Salesperson of the year in 2009. She received the President’s Award from the NAACP Ft. Bend Chapter in 2009 and the National Women of Achievement Pillar of Strength Award in 2010. Courtney has been honored by Rolling Out Magazine as one of Houston’s Top 25 Most Influential Women in Houston and she was featured on the January 2008 cover of Real Estate Executive Magazine. In addition, she was featured in the Houston Business Journal as one of their “Top 40 under 40 Business Leaders in Houston for 2009.”
Courtney’s knowledge and passion for real estate is not at all surprising. Her father George Johnson, an African-American developer, started their company George E. Johnson Development Inc. in 1974. The company has since managed more than $1 billion in commercial real estate projects. Courtney obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her Master’s in Community Development from Prairie View A&M University. Courtney is an adjunct professor of real estate for Prairie View A&M University and was recently named Faculty Member of the year by the College of Architecture – MCD Program.
Courtney is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and of Windsor Village United Methodist Church. Courtney is married to Teeba Rose and they have one son, Carter Rose. |
